Emergency Manual Release

This universal emergency release is required for garages without a second access point, i.e., when the garage door is the only way in. Using the release cable with mortise lock, the garage door opener can be unlocked from the outside, for example, in the event of a power outage , allowing you to open your door manually.

The Schartec universal emergency release is suitable for sectional garage doors with up to 44 mm insulation thickness (the mortise lock is 50 mm long) and can be used with all garage door openers that have a manual emergency release (except Bosch openers). The included wire cable is 1.00 m long. The counter plate of the mortise lock is slightly larger than on many other emergency releases, thus protecting the inside of your door panel from warping and scratches.
